Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announced that Erin Mackey (Sondheim on Sondheim, Wicked) will assume the role of 'Hope Harcourt' on Tuesday, September 13th. Original cast member Laura Osnes will play her final performance on Sunday, September 11th. Anything Goes is a limited engagement that has been extended through January 8th, 2012.

Roundabout Theatre Company announced that Kelly Bishop (A Chorus Line, original Broadway company) will assume the role of "Evangeline Harcourt" on Tuesday, August 9th. Original cast member Jessica Walter will play her final performance on Sunday, July 31st which was the original end date of the limited run, now extended through January 8th, 2012. Lynn Nottage's world premiere comedy, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, already extended one week through May 29 at Second Stage Theatre, and opened last night, May 9. The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents SMALL TOWN, BIG TALENT, an all-day, star-filled celebration to benefit SOPAC, to honor the South Orange/Maplewood community and its contribution to the arts.

This week, we are highlighting the unparalleled career of legendary director/choreographer Michael Bennett with a newly unearthed clip of the original Broadway cast of A JOYFUL NOISE performing Bennett's choreography on the Ed Sullivan Show, as well as a near-three-hour interview with his associates that was recorded last week as part of a benefit for Dancers Over 40 also titled A JOYFUL NOISE. There's certainly a lot to love and embrace here in this crash-course in Bennett for the uninitiated among us.
