PLANET BELFAST to Kick Off Irish Rep's 2013-14 Reading Series, 9/20

The Irish Repertory Theatre begins the eighth season of its Reading Series with a staged reading of Rosemary Jenkinson's play PLANET BELFAST on Friday, September 20 at 3 p.m. (EDT) at the Irish Repertory Theatre's W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). The reading is free and open to the public.

Primary Stages ESPA has announced casting for the ESPA*Drills Reading Series this August. ESPA*Drills is an annual new play development program providing professionally staged readings to four ESPA playwrights. The plays are workshopped at Primary Stages under the guidance of the ESPA staff and presented before an audience of industry peers at Off-Broadway's 59E59 Theaters. ESPA*Drills provides an exclusive opportunity for students to receive professional attention through the resources and support of Primary Stages.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) and Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) have announced an extension of their World Premiere co-production of THE CALL, a new play by Tanya Barfield (Blue Door at Playwrights Horizons/PH). The limited engagement at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street) will now run through Sunday, May 26. Directed by two-time Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman (Go Back to Where You Are and Blue Door at PH; Hunting and Gathering at Primary Stages/PS; Golden Child, Chinglish, Well, In the Wake), THE CALL reunites Ms. Barfield and Ms. Silverman, who previously collaborated on the Playwrights Horizons production of Blue Door in 2006.

Primary Stages continues their 28th season with the 20th anniversary revival of All in the Timing by David Ives. Opening night is Tuesday, February 12. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando (Urinetown; A Christmas Story, The Musical),the production features Eric Clem (Blue Man Group), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenn Harris (Silence!
