Unveiling the centerpiece of its 2012-13 season of sophisticated and provocative theater that appeals to and is appropriate for kids while maintaining the look and emotional depth of adult theater, 24th STreet Theatre presents the debut production of its LAb24 resident experimental theater company. The West Coast premiere of Walking the Tightrope by Mike Kenny opens January 26 at 24th STreet Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the show in the photos below!

ROCKIN' WITH THE AGES & THE PINK LADY have announced that their smash-hit, critically acclaimed, World Premiere production of THE BEAT GOES ON! A Musical Celebration of the Young at Heart, featuring musical direction by David O, and written, choreographed and directed by Ovation Award-winner Cate Caplin is extending through Sunday, November 25 at the Theatre of Arts Arena Stage, 1625 N. Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood.

The fourth show from Jackie Goldberg and Rockin' with the Ages The Beat Goes On! is by far their BEST, most slick and vibrant and totally indicative of Goldberg's great philosophy for all seniors to 'Get Up, Get Out and Get a Life!' It really MOVES! But you don't have to be a senior to enjoy the show. There's something for everyone from hip hop to rock and roll to 'Young at Heart'.

Rogue Artists Ensemble brings back last year's darkly comic sci-fi hit, D is for Dog, for the Hollywood Fringe Festival and beyond-featuring new twists, special effects and an even more startling conclusion. A uniquely theatrical event that melds puppetry, live actors, original music and video, D is for Dog will open as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival tonight, June 8 and continue to run at the Hudson Mainstage through August 4. (Please note: PG-13 for thematic material - not suitable for young children.)

A pair of plucky orphans fall into the clutches of a greedy couple in the final installment of SCR's 2009-2010 Theatre for Young Audiences season. Ben and the Magic Paintbrush, adapted by Bathsheba Doran from a Chinese folk tale, has its world premiere May 21 through June 6 on the Julianne Argyros stage.
