THE DIVINE SISTER Closes 3/7 at Theatre for the New City

Theater for the New City is pleased to announce that Charles Busch's new comedy THE DIVINE SISTER will play a limited premiere showcase engagement at Theater for the New City's Cino Theater (155 First Avenue). The developmental production, directed by Busch's longtime collaborator Carl Andress (The Third Story; Die, Mommie, Die!) will play a limited engagement of 24 performances from Saturday, February 6 through Sunday, March 7.

GREEN MAN by Don Nigro is a re-telling of the medieval poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" set during the American Civil War. It is the story of Gavin, a wounded Union soldier who wanders lost and delirious into an abandoned chapel and soon finds himself caught in a deadly and mysterious game of seduction, transgression and murder. Brad Raimondo and Pageant Wagon Productions will present the play, directed by Mr. Raimondo, at FRIGID New York 2010. FRIGID New York 2010 runs February 24th through March 7th. GREEN MAN will play five performances: Feb 25th at 11pm, Feb 28th at 6:30pm, March 1st at 8pm, March 5th at 6:30pm and March 6th at 2pm. All performances will be at the Red Room, located on the third floor of 85 East 4th Street, between 2nd Avenue & Bowery.

It's a portrait of a squad of front-line British soldiers who, with their German counterparts, shook hands, shared cigarettes and sang Christmas carols together in the brief, precious interruption in fighting that occurred on December 24 and 25, 1914. The Dreamscape Theatre will present the debut production December 11 to January 2 at Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street, directed by Dreamscape's Producing Artistic Director, Brad Raimondo.
