On Monday September 21, 2009, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host Julie Halston, announced the 2009 recipients at the Fifth Annual IT Awards Ceremony at New World Stages. Just weeks after announcing their 43rd season, The Gallery Players is proud to announce nominations for nine New York Innovative Theatre Awards for productions in its 2008-2009 season, including two for Outstanding Production of a Musical and one for Outstanding Production of a Play. This marks the third consecutive season The New York Innovative Theatre Awards has recognized The Gallery Players, who have received the honor of Outstanding Production of a Musical for the past two seasons.

The smash hit Off-Broadway musical,' Dames at Sea opens the Saint Michael's Playhouse summer 2009 season Tuesday, June 16, and runs through June 27, starring Broadway musical talent top to bottom. Tickets for the show are discounted 20% through the run of the show if bought as part of a four-play season subscription. Performances of 'Dames' are Tuesday, June 16 through Saturday, June 20, at 8 p.m. each evening and Saturday, June 20, and Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m., on the stage of the McCarthy Arts Center on the campus of Saint Michael's College.
