Rubicon Theatre Company will present the third production of its 2022-2023 Season with ALMOST, MAINE, written by JOHN CARIANI and directed by STEPHANIE A. COLTRIN.  ALMOST, MAINE begins previews on Wednesday, September 7; opens on Saturday, September 10 at 7 p.m.; and runs through Sunday, September 25.

Coeurage Ensemble, LA's Pay What You Want performance company, has announced the launch of its new initiative of immersive, location-specific storytelling experiences, The Nomad Project. The first endeavor under the new artistic leadership of Joseph V. Calarco and Amanda McRaven, The Nomad Project debuts with nine individual audio stories by 10 Los Angeles playwrights and screenwriters.

Having completed its 10th anniversary season in 2019, Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's only Pay What You Want theatre company, announced today that Amanda McRaven and Joseph V. Calarco have been named Co-Artistic Directors. They are joined by Associate Artistic Director Katelyn Gault, Artistic Development Associate Nardeep Khurmi, and CoLab Director Katie Pelensky.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want theatre company, has announced the first production of its 10th Anniversary season, the Los Angeles premiere of Samsara by Lauren Yee, directed by Rebecca Wear. Opening is set for Saturday, May 11, at 8:30pm. Samsara will play through June 1 at the Met Theatre in Los Angeles.

The west coast premiere of THE SPARROW successfully intrigues as a stylistic performance art piece with some stunning visuals utilizing backlite scrims, clever choreography and inventive staging, with some haunting original music by Gregory Nabours. Kudos to Kristin Browning Campbell's scenic design and Tasheena Medina's choreography using school desks as percussive accents and balls and books as dancing props.

Calarco, opening is set for tonight, October 24 at 8pm. The Sparrow will play through November 21 at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center.

The opening will be split between tonight, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm. The Woodsman will play through June 13 at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced a partnership with Silver Lake Food Pantry, a community food bank serving the Silver Lake area, during the run of Trey Parker's Cannibal! The Musical at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre. Coeurage's ongoing goal is to expand the reach of its productions outside the walls of the theatre and into the community that the company serves.

Without a doubt there are scenes in Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus that are difficult to watch. Actions that might come across as ludicrous on the page make one shrink with revulsion when viewed in the flesh, and within the confines of a small theater the effect is much like that of a horror show taken to the limit. Rape, murder, dismemberment, more murder, and about as much brutality as a person can handle in one sitting is what you'll find here. That Coeurage Theatre Company can stage it so that you can still appreciate the art in it is quite an accomplishment.

There will be one preview performance on Friday, July 11 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, July 12 at 8pm. Andronicus will play through August 17 at Coeurage's new home, the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.

The bleak and barren world in A Noise Within's MACBETH is as much an outward visual of the inner state of Shakespeare's title character as it is the setting for the story itself. Moody, shrouded in shadows, and sparsely but strikingly accented, it has the look and feel of a timeless purgatory.
