BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, proudly presents the next event in the 2015-2016 Family Series Season: Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat, on Saturday, March 12 at 1:30PM. Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat is part of BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center's 2015-2016 Family Theater Season, featuring plays, musicals, puppetry, concerts and dance for all ages.

Jamie Lloyd has enlisted a cracking trio of actresses to take on this contemporary adaptation of Jean Genet's psychological thriller. Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat) and Laura Carmichael (Dowton Abbey) join forces to explore sex, murder and class.
Festival d'Aix-en-Provence Sets 2016 Season

The 68th season of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, under the leadership of General Manager Bernard Foccroulle, will present an international roster of artists in six major vocal productions plus an opera-in-concert from June 30 - July 20. New Festival productions this year are Mozart's Cosi fan tutte directed by Christophe Honore and conducted by Louis Langree with the Freiburger Barockorchester; Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande led by Esa-Pekka Salonen with the Philharmonia Orchestra; and completing the Festival's Handel Cycle, Il Trionfo del tempo e del disinganno conducted by Emmanuelle Haimwith Le Concert d'Astree. In addition, the 2016 season will feature a concert version of Rameau's Zoroastre with Raphael Pichon leading the orchestra and choir of the Ensemble Pygmalion.

Singers Claudia Boyle, Robin Adams and Katherine Manley, actor Mikel Murfi, and an ensemble of New York's finest contemporary players, conducted alternately by André de Ridder and Alan Pierson, will deliver this “searingly powerful new chamber work” (The Guardian). Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present the beloved childhood story, Dr. Seuss's the Cat in the Hat. Adapted by Katie Mitchell, and directed by Fun Company Artistic Director, Julie Herber, the play, which is best suited for ages three and up, will run at MET for five weeks beginning September 26.
