You've got a friend! Seven actually, as Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Phoebe and Gunther will be there for you through the summer! FRIENDS! The Musical Parody, the unauthorized parody of the hit TV show by the creators of Bayside! The Saved by the Bell Musical and 90210! The Musical, produced by Lynn Shore Entertainment, Theater Mogul and McSmith Family Entertainment announced today that the box office has taken in over one million dollars in tickets sales and that a new block of tickets is now on sale.

This week the Broadwaysted Crew is making a list and checking it twice...though we probably should have actually checked the list twice! Bryan, Kevin, and Kimberly are pouring out a few rounds of alcoholic mango iced tea and ranking the Top 15 Movie Musicals that haven't had a notable stage production but really should (and even one that has had a stage production...whoops!) Here's the list of candidates (in no specific order): SING STREET, HERCULES, MULAN, ALL THAT JAZZ, LA LA LAND, SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER, & UNCUT, 8 MILE, THAT THING YOU DO, THIS IS SPINAL TAP, PURPLE RAIN, A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, ENCHANTED, THE JUNGLE BOOK, PITCH PERFECT, and HIGH SOCIETY.

Seth Blum currently stars in FRIENDS! The Musical Parody as Chandler Bing (and a few surprise other characters). Seth took a moment to chat about how he came to be starring as one of television's most iconic characters, what he thinks this musical is bringing to New York audiences, and his plans for the future!

Perhaps the most surprising thing about FRIENDS!THE MUSICAL PARODY was the average age of the audience at St. Luke's Theater. Friends debuted in 1994, when some in attendance were barely walking, and many others not yet in middle school. I was about to graduate from college when the show first aired and expected to see more Gen Xers at the nearly sold-out final preview show. But Friends was more than a hit television show; it was a cultural phenomenon that influenced fashion, speech, hairstyles, and ultimately, our concept of young adulthood at the cusp of the 21st Century. Audiences believed that Monica, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, Rachel, and Joey were friends because the actors playing them actually were. The final number, 'Where They Make A Million Dollars An Episode' gets at the rare and magical bond that develops between actors and fans on a show like Friends. Skillfully directed (and choreographed) by Paul Stancato (with nice work on sets and costumes by Josh Iacovelli and David Rigler), FRIENDS! THE MUSICAL PARODY is an entertaining trip down memory lane.

The whole family will fall in love with WST for Kids' killer production of Zombie in Love. Based on the popular book series by Kelly DiPucchio, this hour-long musical teaches us that everyone has a 'ghoul-mate' out there! Love will rise from the dead just in time for Valentine's Day.
