While technology may have changed since the 1950's, the premise and fear of the unknown ring-ring and who might be calling remains equally fascinating. After sipping a drink under the stars before the performance at Peninsula Players Theatre (PPT) and silencing those cell phones, eagerly enjoy their thriller on stage this July written by Britain's Frederick Knott, his iconic Dial M for Murder.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theater and Door County's theatrical icon, continues its 80th season tonight, July 8, through July 26 when it presents the classic suspense-filled thriller, 'Dial M for Murder' by Frederick Knott. 'Dial M for Murder' was first staged on Broadway in 1952 and Knott adapted the script for Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 classic film.

Written by former PPT actor who is currently featured on Broadway in Finding Neverland, Paul Slade Smith crafted a timely production overflowing with clever plot twists reflecting the contemporary political climate with class and humor. The two act evening highlights the acting talents of a seven person cast, and especailly Greg Vinkler, playing Ned Newley, and Erin Noel Grennan, in the role of Louise Peaks.

Ridge Ave. The performance schedule is Today - Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. Please note: there are no performances Friday, July 4 or Saturday, July 5. The running time is approximately 80 minutes with no intermission.
