Last night, 17 October 2013, the National Theatre's smash hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors became the longest running show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in its almost two hundred-year history, celebrating this landmark with a special Gala performance as the production welcomed the new cast. Due to overwhelming demand, and amidst extraordinary critical acclaim, St. Ann's Warehouse and the Donmar Warehouse have extended the American Premiere of the Donmar's all-female Julius Caesar, directed by Phyllida Lloyd. New York audiences will now have seven additional opportunities to see the production Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls "gripping and illuminating," adding, "This Julius Caesar generates a higher testosterone level than any I have seen."

Propelled forward by Alex Timbers' insistent staging, Sonya Tayeh's explicit choreography and Kate Waters & Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum's athletic fight sequences, the actors ride this story fast and hard, fully aware that the journey of these two star-crossed will be cut short in a mere two hours' time.

The Old Globe presents The Last Goodbye, a new musical fusing Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with the incendiary songs of the legendary singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley. Conceived and adapted by Michael Kimmel, the rock musical is directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Bloody BloodyAndrew Jackson). Choreography is by Emmy Award nominee Sonya Tayeh ('So You Think You Can Dance'), and orchestrations, music direction and arrangements are by Kris Kukul. The Last Goodbye will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, now through Nov. 3, 2013.
