ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK creator Jenji Kohan has confirmed to US Weekly that Laura Prepon, who announced last fall that she would be departing the Netflix hit during its upcoming second season, will stick around a little longer than expected.

Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (RFKCenter.org) launched its Seventh Annual Ripple of Hope Holiday Auction with support from some of the world's most recognizable celebrities spanning entertainment, sports, music, and politics. The online auction is open to bidders internationally through December 17 at RFKAUCTION.COM. Proceeds will support the RFK Center's work to empower fearless human rights defenders and inspire a new generation of defenders through its human rights curriculum.

Facing PageProductions announced it will produce Sonnet Karaoke - a high octane reading of Shakespeare's sonnets by Broadway stars and Bard lovers - on November 18th at 8:00 pm at Gossip Bar and Restaurant (733 9th Avenue). The event, hosted by Nick Westrate, will benefit the Company's Marathon 2014, a three-plus day non-stop reading of Shakespeare's canon in the spring.

Fundamental Theater Project will present the upcoming staged reading of Supersoldier, a new rock musical with book, music and lyrics by Hair co-creator, Jim Rado. The reading is presented in collaboration with New York Theatre Barn, and will be directed by NYTB Artistic Director, Joe Barros. The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history.
