'Lost' Star Michael Emerson Ready to Return to NYC

Michael Emerson, star of the hit television show 'Lost,' will leave Hawaii, where has has spent much of the last five years filming the show, to return to his home in New York City. Emerson said he is excited to return to his favorite restaurant spots around the city.

On Monday, May 24 at 8 pm, Tony-nominated actors Kate Burton and Michael Cumpsty will star in a reading of THE POETS' THEATRE: Elizabeth Bishop & Robert Lowell at the 92nd Street Y. Sixty-three years after they were supposed to meet at the 92nd Street Y, star-crossed poets and long-time pen pals Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell will get another chance. Burton and Cumpsty will read from Bishop and Lowell's letters and poetry, drawing on the 2008 book, Words in Air: The Complete Correspondence Between Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell (out by Faber and Faber).

Boston's Huntington Theatre Company was recently profiled in the New York Times, where they said they wanted to strengthen their already solid relationship with new playwrights. Boston's largest theatre company already offers fellowships to playwrights and allows them opportunities for readings and feedback from audiences, but Artistic Director Peter DuBois said he wants to encourage new writers even more.

The story will surround Evans real life events. In the Times article, Evans discusses how he suffered a stroke and was originally paralyzed on his right side and unable to speak. After much work, Evans has been able to return to his role of successful Hollywood producer.

The play is expected to open during the 2010-2011 Broadway season.
