A.R.T. Announces Steering Committee for 'Creating Equal,' New Collective of Artists, Organizers, and Facilitators

American Repertory Theater has announced today the Steering Committee members of Creating Equal. THEN SHE FELL Closes Permanently

Third Rail Projects' award-winning THEN SHE FELL, which suspended shows on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will permanently close the production, a show that set records for dance, immersive theater, and off-Broadway with 4,444 performances total, over the course of seven and a half years.

The Broad Stage Presents The Southern California Premiere Of HOME

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica is proud to present the Southern California Premiere of HOME, created by Geoff Sobelle. The show is a house party where the whole audience is invited. HOME will have six performances from March 4 through March 8, 2020 (press opening is March 5). HOME, directed by Lee Sunday Evans, who won a 2018 Bessie Award for Outstanding Production.

Martha Graham Dance Company Announces Spring 2020 Season At New York City Center

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company presents the second season of The EVE Projecta?"a program celebrating female empowerment and the centennial of the 19th Amendment this year. The New York City Center season features acclaimed classics from Graham's repertory alongside works by some of today's top choreographers, including a world premiere by Andrea Miller and recent commissions from Pam Tanowitz and Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith. Prima ballerina Diana Vishneva will be a guest star at the gala evening dancing Graham's Deep Song. Music for all of the Graham classics will be played live by The Mannes Orchestra. Performances are Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm (Opening Night Gala), Thursdaya?"Friday, April 23a?"24 at 8pm, Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, April 26 at 2pm.

THEN SHE FELL Releases New Block of Tickets

Third Rail Projects' Third Rail Projects' award-winning THEN SHE FELL, which celebrated its 7th anniversary in October, announces the release of a new block of tickets through May 31, 2019. This immersive theater event is inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). THEN SHE FELL takes place at The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns, a century-old institutional building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where the action plays out on 3 floors.

The company celebrates the 75th anniversary of this enduringly powerful work with a dynamic, lyrical new dance that resonates with Graham's classic: Peak Performances commission The Auditions, choreographed by Troy Schumacher to an original score by composer Augusta Read Thomas, and performed by seven Martha Graham Dance Company members.

BWW Review: Kyle Abraham's A.I.M Excites the Joyce Theater Audience

On opening night, October 15, Kyle Abraham, Artistic Director, presented six works, including, for one night only, Ash, a solo for American Ballet Theatre principal ballerina, Misty Copeland. Ash was saved for last on the program. The anticipation was palpable, but the entire performance was riveting. Abraham has earned numerous awards and honors for his choreography, and his work has been presented throughout the United States and abroad.

A.I.M By Kyle Abraham Makes Ted Shawn Theatre Debut, July 31

A.I.M by Kyle Abraham makes its Ted Shawn Theatre debut at Jacob's Pillow, July 31-August 4. A Jacob's Pillow Dance Award winner, Doris Duke Artist Award winner, and MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow, Kyle Abraham's 'skill as a dancer is a fact' (The New York Times). A.I.M's mixed repertory  program demonstrates the company's diverse range of styles and Abraham's own artistry as a performer with INDY, his first major solo in nearly a decade; Andrea Miller's all-female state; as well as Show Pony, The Quiet Dance, and Drive, marked by Abraham's 'urgent and expressive choreography' (The New York Times).
