Beginning Saturday, April 6th, Laura Jordan will join the cast of Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical as Clarice Starling. Following the announcement that SILENCE! would be ending its long run at the end of 2012, ticket sales unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records held by the show. Subsequently, the producers determined that the production would reopen on January 19th. After opening initially at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in Times Square which was constructed especially for the show.
As divorce continues to affect more and more children, Amy Kite's timely children's book on divorce is striking a chord with kids, parents and even a local NBC TV anchor. Last week, Kite appeared on NBC Chicago's THE TALK, hosted by Marion Brooks, to discuss her book "Divorce: What About Me?" Brooks was moved by the book and wanted to have Kite on her show to discuss this difficult and often painful topic.
