Kevin Spirtas and Tyler Maynard are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical this Saturday, May 4th at the Elektra Theatre. Spirtas is set to play Dr. Hannibal Lecter's nemesis Dr. Chilton, and Maynard will assume the role of the hapless Sgt. Pembry.

Beginning performances on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, Lindsay Mendez will assume the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production of WICKED. Ms. Mendez has previously worked with both the composer and director of WICKED, having appeared in the 2011 Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell, and, more recently, giving a breakout performance in the world premiere musical, Dogfight, staged by WICKED director Joe Mantello.
ABC Family has added another new one-hour drama series, CHASING LIFE (formerly "Terminales"), to its roster of millennial-skewing original programming. The series is scheduled to start production in Santa Clarita in July and will premiere on ABC Family in early 2014.
Huntington Theatre Company raised more than $1,005,000 at last night's Spotlight Spectacular gala honoring longtime supporters Trustee Judith Krupp and her husband Douglas and visionary Our Town director David Cromer. Expanding on its popular 'Movie Music' programs that feature live orchestration of film scene scores, Chicago's new art music leader, Fulcrum Point New Music Project, with a 100-member orchestra, presents the complete film score and screening of the 1980 science fiction classic, Altered States. The live score performance is part of a citywide, four-day 'Forever Young' festival celebrating the 75th birthday of modern master composer John Corigliano.
