Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to present the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy The Understudy, directed by Scott Ellis featuring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (TNT's 'Raising the Bar') as 'Jake', Justin Kirk (Showtime's 'Weeds') as 'Harry' and Tony Award winner Julie White as 'Roxanne'.

Sir Alan Ayckbourn will discuss his his lengthy career on Theatre Talk on Friday, December 11th. The program airs at 1:00 AM on THIRTEEN.

Following critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a three-week extension for the World Premiere of THIS, the new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (Suitcase, [sic]). Directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin ([sic], eight seasons as Artistic Director of Soho Rep), the production opened Wednesday, December 2. Originally set to run through Sunday, December 13, the limited engagement will now play through Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the theater company's Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). This date represents the latest extension possible for the show.

RACE began previews on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 8:00 pm at The Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th St.). The official opening night was Sunday, December 6, 2009 and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture the night!
