"EVEN on a bike, Mark-Paul Gosselaar can't always ride away from his résumé.

Not long ago, Mr. Gosselaar, a 35-year-old actor, was at a bike shop near the George Washington Bridge when he noticed another rider giving him a strange look. Mr. Gosselaar hopped on his bike and pedaled off, but the other rider followed."

Blomberg News published an article on November 6th titled "TV Star Gosselaar Falls For Kafka In Rebeck's Play 'Understudy'."

The article, written by Philip Boroff begins Playwright Theresa Rebeck has described her off-Broadway dark comedy "The Understudy" as a love letter to the theater. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, a television actor with no prior stage experience, is an unlikely messenger.

In the play, which opened last night, Gosselaar plays action star Jake, rehearsing a newly discovered "masterpiece" by Franz Kafka. Opposite him is Harry, a struggling but gifted stage actor (Justin Kirk), hired as an understudy."
