Norm Lewis finished his Feinstein's/54Below 5 night run last night, on Christmas Eve. Norm's show, NORM LEWIS WISHES YOU A SWINGIN' CHRISTMAS, played to packed houses and the venue had an amazing week, with Michael Feinstein also making his debut at the newly namesaked club, doing the 7:00 P.M. shows and Norm conquering the 9:30 slot. By the way, Mr. Feinstein plays through the 30th, while Norm enjoys his Christmas Holiday and then can find him at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, on New Year's Eve with friends Patina Miller, Capathia Jenkins, Eric Bergen and Clint Holmes.
Last night, Sunday, Dec. 20, Feinstein's/54 Below celebrated opening night for Norm Lewis' holiday engagement. 'Norm Lewis Wishes You a Swingin' Christmas,' which runs through December 24th, is an all-new show featuring Lewis and his swingin' putting their mark on holiday classics, some of the songs that Lewis is best known for, as well as some surprises you would never expect to hear him sing.
Jacob Langfelder in partnership with Arts For All will present a one night only concert featuring TONY and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Holliday on January 18th, 2016 at 42West (514 W. 42nd Street). The evening will be the first-ever 'Broadway Names withJulie James - LIVE', where the host of SiriusXM On Broadway's popular radio show will perform and serve as MC. Holliday and additional theater stars will be welcomed to the stage for incredible live performances. The lineup of special guests will be announced soon. On Monday, November 16th Broadway Method Academy is hosting a benefit concert "Broadway Sings!" in efforts to find a "forever home". Broadway Method Academy's Executive Director, Connor Deane says the evening will be filled with top-notch talent from both Connecticut and New York, including some of Broadway's top performers.
