Glenn Close will be honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 32nd annual Salute on December 3, 2018 at 583 Park Ave. in New York. The news was announced today by Ivan L. Lustig, Co-Chairman of the Museum's Board of Trustees and Carl Goodman, the Museum's Executive Director.

PlayGround, the Bay Area's (and now Los Angeles') leading playwright incubator, will mark the opening of its twenty-fifth season with a special one-night gala celebration and performance, and the launch of a bold new partnership. Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2018 season, which includes new dance and music commissions, and a gala featuring a revival performance of a Works & Process Rotunda Project in the Guggenheim's iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed space. Since 1984 the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians, and playwrights, among others. Programs explore the creative process through stimulating discussions with artists and riveting performance highlights. Each 70-minute program takes place in the museum's Peter B. American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) and the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts at Northwestern University announce the Equity cast members of Something in the Game: An All-American Musical, directed and choreographed by David H. Bell with book by Buddy Farmer, music by Michael Mahler and lyrics by David H. Bell and Michael Mahler. The production will run July 20 - August 5 at the Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, on the Northwestern Evanston campus. The Press Opening is Today, July 21 at 7:30 p.m.

According to Entertainment Weekly AMC's hit zombie drama Walking Dead has cast Tony nominee Lauren Ridloff in a multi-episode arc.

The uplifting musical comedy "Freckleface Strawberry The Musical" will light up Upper Darby Summer Stage. Based on the bestselling book written by actress Julianne Moore, "Freckleface Strawberry" features toe-tapping songs and dances and explores important lessons such as embracing one's differences. Performances are July 25, 26, and 27 at 10:30 a.m. and on July 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

Toronto Fashion Week®, in collaboration with RESET, returns for a third season, Sept. 4-6. In addition to designer shows, Toronto Fashion Week will see returning programs such as Fashion Talks and new events to this season's schedule, including the launch of The Endings – a photography book by award-winning celebrity photographer Caitlin Cronenberg and production designer Jessica Ennis, and Best Dressed 2018 presented by Toronto Life and FASHION.
