Four letters say it all: LIZA. In addition to the long-awaited Blu-ray premiere of the iconic Bob Fosse film musical for which Liza won a Best Actress Oscar, CABARET - premiering in the HD format later this year to mark its fortieth anniversary - this week sees the hotly anticipated CD and digital premiere of one of her finest live recordings ever captured - LIZA MINNELLI LIVE AT THE WINTER GARDEN - completely remastered, with bonus tracks. Fanny Brice, America's Funny Girl is a reworking of Maltz Jupiter Theatre's 2009 hit production Fanny Brice: The Real Funny Girl. Writer and Director David H. Bell modified the script and is bringing Asolo Rep the most inspiring version yet. TCPalm raved, "Marya Grandy may not be the real Fanny Brice…but she just might be a new version of Ethel Merman. That's with a little Patti LuPone and the emotional singing delivery al a Judy Garland tossed in for good measure". WJTW FM said "what really brought the audience to its feet for a standing ovation however was the finale…it doesn't get any better than that."

Fast-Rising Cabaret Stars Will Dazzle Royal Room Fans from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day: Carole J. Bufford, Nicolas King, Jennifer Sheehan, Wayne Hosford & Ariana Savalas The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as 'probably the best place for cabaret on the planet' - plans another sizzling, song-filled summer with some really hot and fast-rising performers straight from Manhattan's leading cabarets - several of whom are making their Royal Room debut and other performers who are returning favorites for loyal fans of the Royal Room Supper Club. The Colony Hotel's world famous Royal Room is widely celebrated for presenting 'immaculately staged cabaret performances' by well known Grammy- and Tony-winning stars (Conde Nast Traveler, February 2011).

This Tuesday marked the second most exciting day of any given year for Broadway babies - the Tony Award nominations. The actual awards ceremony on CBS - Broadway's night of nights - is still a few weeks off, but now is certainly an ideal time to size up the competition(s) and see who will most likely walk away with Tony gold come June 10 - and this year's ceremony, more than most before, could very well be as surprising as this season was; or Tuesday's nominations themselves were, for that matter. While the 2011-2012 Broadway season certainly fell far short of the heady promise many ascribed to its prospects way back last Summer, we certainly saw the fulfillment of some big dreams for some notable names if not an all-in-all banner year for Broadway when collectively considered. The highly-praised Off-Broadway critical darling LYSISTRATA JONES landed with a thud early in the season, as did the re-jiggered, gender-bending revival of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER and its star Harry Connick, Jr., and, even the lauded and relatively successful revival of Stephen Sondheim's peerless masterpiece FOLLIES failed to make any money and closed. GODSPELL did not fare much better, though it is still running. The two highly-anticipated revivals of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic early successes JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and EVITA were met with indifferent reviews - with the latter receiving some nasty press for its stars, neither of whom received Tony nominations - but receptive audiences so far. THE GERSHWINS' PORGY & BESS could take Best Revival, after all - but will NICE WORK's Kelli O'Hara edge out four-time Tony recipient Audra McDonald? New plays did not fare much better than the measly crop of musicals, but OTHER DESERT CITIES and VENUS IN FUR seemed to hit their target demographics squarely, but CLYBOURNE PARK looks to be the frontrunner for Best Play despite all that. We shall see. Mike Nichols may take home another Best Director for his sensitive, if workmanlike revival of Arthur Miller's DEATH OF A SALESMAN, as conceivably could Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield. John Lithgow is offering up some fierce competition in THE COLUMNIST, though. The acting races are tight, for sure, in both plays and musicals, with more newcomers and first-time nominees than any season this century.

Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Tammy Blanchard will make her "The Big C" debut on Sunday, May 13 at 9:30 pm on Showtime. Landing a 3 episode recurring role on the hit television series, Blanchard will appear as Giselle, a sexy, uninhibited, and married Pilate's instructor whose relationship with Sean Tolkey (John Benjamin Hickey) starts to obscure his once conventional life.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Spring 2012 season with the debut of British West End TV and singing star, MELANIE STACE on June 3-4 and September 16-17.

June is Gay Pride Month and Judy Garland is turning 90! Judy Garland Live in Concert: GET HAPPY! A 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION is a brand new show as Judy Garland (Peter Mac) takes you on a musical journey through her life from her days in Vaudeville , to her illustrious film career at MGM, her legendary concert comebacks in the 50's and 60's, her CBS television series and beyond. The show runs every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM, with a Special Sunday Evening show on June 10th which includes a special cake reception. Gretna Theatre celebrates its 85th Anniversary season at the Mt. Gretna Playhouse with a sparkling opening performance by the one and only Tommy Tune in "Steps in Time" featuring the Manhattan Rhythm Kings for a single performance Sunday, June 3 at 7:30 pm. The nine-time Tony Award winner will perform his Broadway biography in song and dance to celebrate 50 years on the Great White Way.

The Guthrie's 2012-13 season features three major Tony Award nominees, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris and Other Desert Cities by Jon Robin Baitz, which were both nominated for Best Play. The Guthrie's upcoming season also features Roger Rees as director of Crispin Whittell's new play The Primrose Path. Rees has been nominated for a 2012 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for his work on Peter and the Starcatcher.

Tracing roots back through time to 1905, Company Theatre 'recaptures the iconic ocean front theme park experience in their long-awaited world premiere of Paragon Park the Musical, an original grand-scale musical drama,' playing from July 27 through August 19 at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell.

Judy & Company will run every Friday & Saturday at 8PM for the month of May at the Peter Mac's Supper Club Theater, a private theater seating 60 people. It is located in the back of The French Market Quarter. The show has Tribute Artist Peter Mac performing all roles as the iconic ladies of yesteryear, including Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Tallulah Bankhead, Katherine Hepburn and Peggy Lee . The evening includes performance by Peter Mac as Peter Mac, with musical direction by Bryan Miller.

Alex and Nilusha, Stephen House, Angela Lumicisi, and Rebecca Morton headline cabaret performances during the month of May at the Butterfly Club. The season also includes George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in celebration of the classic play's 100th anniversary and the World Premiere of a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey and Kirsten Brandt.
