2016 Broadway World Toronto Award nominee (Best Leading Actor in a Musical), Michael Hughes, brings The Michael Hughes Christmas Special at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Saturday, December 3, 2016. 

God isn't happy and She (that's right....She) is coming to Arizona to set the record straight in no uncertain terms about Her thinking and Her works in Emmy-winner David Javerbaum's irreverent, sinfully funny new comedy, An Act of God.

Musical Theatre West's (MTW) Reiner Staged Reading Series (RRS) presents the romantic romp She Loves Me, Saturday, December 3, at 7:00pm at its new home, the Beverly O'Neill Theater, located at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.

With a wide selection of great movies by directors including Ingmar Bergman, Joe Dante, John Huston, Stanley Kubrick, Vincente Minnelli, and more, Museum of the Moving Image presents a holiday edition of its popular ongoing series See It Big!, from November 19 through December 24, 2016. The season opens this Saturday with back-to-back screenings of Tim Burton and Henry Selick's The Nightmare Before Christmas, screening in Dolby Digital 3-D; Barry Levinson's heartfelt, autobiographical Avalon, chronicling generations of a Jewish family in Baltimore; and Hannah and Her Sisters, Woody Allen's funny yet philosophical family dramedy starring Mia Farrow, Barbara Hershey, Dianne Wiest, and Michael Caine-with the last two films centered around Thanksgiving meals.

The WICKED tour will welcome Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk Award-winner Isabel Keating as Madame Morrible, Fred Applegate as The Wizard and Andy Mientus ('Smash') as Boq, beginning Tuesday, November 22nd at Wharton Center in East Lansing.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 208th season with an exciting stage adaptation of the all-time classic musical THE WIZARD OF OZ. Directed by Glenn Casale, with choreography by Rodney Glen Roberts, THE WIZARD OF OZ began previews on November 8th, opens on November 16th and runs through January 8th on the Walnut's Mainstage. Step into the era of jazz and swing this holiday with the Canton Symphony Orchestra (CSO) as they present “A Swingin' Holiday”, December 4 at 3:00pm at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall, 2323 17th Street NW.  The orchestra adds a new dimension to the annual holiday concert with new jazz-inspired arrangements of traditional favorites.  The concert is sponsored in part by Gregory Industries.

The producers of IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the stage adaptation of the beloved classic film, have announced today that Lorna Luft will reprise her role as Martha Watson in the upcoming National Tour. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

In a London hotel room, with both her new young fiance and her adoring accompanist, Garland struggles to get 'beyond the rainbow' with her signature cocktail of talent, tenacity and razor-sharp wit. Featuring some of Garland's most memorable songs, this savagely funny play with music offers unique insight into the inner conflict that inspired and consumed one of the most beloved figures in American history. 

Award-winning Chicago dynamo Angela Ingersoll rings in the holiday season with her fun and festive one-woman-show The 12 Dames of Christmas at the Elgin Community College Arts Center.  Backed by a stellar band, Ingersoll takes audiences on a hilarious and heartwarming journey through the holiday songbook as she applies her impressively versatile voice to holiday classics by twelve legendary songstresses.  The 12 Dames of Christmas will be performed at the ECC Arts Center's Blizzard Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive in Elgin on Saturday, December 10 at 7 p.m.

On Monday, November 21, Goodspeed Musicals kicks-off their Annual Food Drive to benefit the East Haddam Food Bank. Goodspeed will be collecting donations during Thanksgiving week in the hopes that they will have another record-breaking year for participation. The need is even greater this year as the number of households served by the East Haddam Food Bank has grown once again to record levels.

Award-winning entertainer Rick Skye is rejoining Tommy Femia in the long-running 'Judy and Liza Together Again!' for four encore performances on Saturdays, November 19th and 26th, and December 3rd and 17th at 8:00pm at Don't Tell Mama's (343 West 46th Street).
