Michael Hughes to Bring 'CHRISTMAS SPECIAL' to Young Centre This December

2016 Broadway World Toronto Award nominee (Best Leading Actor in a Musical), Michael Hughes, brings The Michael Hughes Christmas Special at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Saturday, December 3, 2016.

Inspired by The Judy Garland Christmas Special (1963), The Michael Hughes Christmas Special will be an evening of stories and laughter, with some quirky Hughes family traditions, and all your favourite holiday tunes. Featuring surprise performances from some of Canada's leading musical theatre talent - this will be an evening certain to get you into the holiday spirit!

Michael Hughes is the creator and star of the internationally acclaimed, Canadian Comedy Award nominated, Mickey & Judy. For his performances in New York City, Michael was awarded the Bistro Award for Outstanding Debut. Most recently, Michael was seen onstage as Rapunzel's Prince in the Thousand Islands Playhouse production of Into The Woods. A sought after cabaret and concert performer, dubbed "the next Michael Buble" by NOW Magazine, Michael was featured on the David Foster & Friends concert tour alongside Sarah McLachlan, Earth Wind & Fire, and Chicago. The Michael Hughes Christmas Special will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at 8:30pm at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, as part of the Soulpepper Cabaret Series.
