For the 98th Kritzerland show, it's our annual May madness show, which, like our crazy April Fools show, is equally mad and wild, with some pretty stuff thrown in, too. 

On Stage At Kingsborough brings top notch performing arts to Southern Brooklyn, with an eclectic roster of artists spanning multiple genres including cabaret, dance, music, and family programming. The current season runs through May 17, 2019.

There's an unfortunate guffaw in the otherwise well-calibrated British thriller of '46, 'Dead of Night,' when Mervyn Johns (Glynis' dad), sensing he's sinking into insanity, brings a shaky hand to his forehead and says, 'I've got to get to a mental specialist.'

CBS All Access announced today that Alison Pill ('The Newsroom'), Harry Treadaway ('Penny Dreadful') and Isa Briones ('American Crime Story: Versace') were cast as series regulars alongside Sir Patrick Stewart in its upcoming untitled 'Star Trek' series that will explore the next chapter of Jean-Luc Picard. They join previously announced cast members Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd and Evan Evagora.

Nathan Lee Graham (Zoolander, "LA to Vegas") Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Josh Sharp (Comedy Central's "The Opposition"), and Phillip Taratula ("The Outs") have joined the cast of Justin Sayre's camp-horror-soap-opera Ravenswood Manor at JOE'S PUB on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at 9:30 PM. After premiering at the venue last fall, Ravenswood Manor will be continued with episodes 7 thru 9 on Saturday, and episodes 10 through 12 on Sunday.

A new partnership between Madison Marquette's historic Paramount Theatre and the Axelrod Performing Arts Center [APAC] is set to bring two professionally-produced musical concerts - featuring Broadway stars - to the Asbury Park Boardwalk this summer.

 BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) is proud to announce that film composer and celebrated jazz musician Terence Blanchard will be named a BMI Icon at the 35th annual BMI Film, TV & Visual Media Awards in recognition of his significant contributions to the cinematic community.  The ceremony will also honor award-winning composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor William Ross with the BMI Classic Contribution Award, and salute the top performing composers in film, TV and visual media of the past year. Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to see Ankeny Community Theatre's sizzling production of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me, Kate." Ankeny has done a great job getting the word out about this production. The tickets are hot and sold out for both the performance I was at on Saturday as well the matinee on Sunday. Not only is this production one of the hottest tickets in town, it also has amazing performances that transcend the material.

 In 1962, fifty-seven years ago, the magnificent TONY BENNETT recorded "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."  The song was honored with two Grammy Awards, including "Record of the Year" and gave Tony a signature tune that, as he delights in saying, has made him "A Citizen of the World."  Last March, the classic was entered into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress as "an aural treasure worthy of preservation." Now in 2019, and about to turn an ageless 93, the legendary performer -  himself a world treasure - continues to leave his heart in each song that he sings and in every aspect of his life.

Citadel + Compagnie presents the world premiere of Canadian dance luminary James Kudelka's Four Old Legs, on stage April 12-13 & 17-20, 2019 at 8pmand April 14 at 4pm at the Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance. The Benanti Duo Dazzles Florida Audiences

The seventh annual "Night Of A Thousand Judys" - the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Sayre - will take place at Joe's Pub on Saturday, June 1. The Ali Forney Center is the nation's largest agency dedicated to helping LGBTQ homeless youth.

Primal Forces in Boca Raton is proud to present The Gingerbread Lady, a Neil Simon play that explores a darker side of one of the world's favorite playwrights. This moving and entertaining departure from Simon's more light-hearted works is directed by Genie Croft and features Carbonell winner Patti Gardner in the role of Evy Meara. Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn Films have co-acquired worldwide rights to Max Lewkowicz's FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES. The documentary tells the story behind one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, Fiddler on The Roof and its creative roots in early 1960s New York. The film includes interviews with the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, legendary producer Hal Prince, original cast members, such as Austin Pendleton, as well as rare archival footage of renowned choreographer Jerome Robbins. Further insights into the play's legacy and enduring influence come from new interviews with Broadway luminaries and cultural influencers including Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chaim Topol, Harvey Fierstein as well as famed authors Fran Lebowitz, Calvin Trillin and Nathan Englander. Roadside and Goldwyn will release FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES in theatres this summer.
