LeeSaar The Company will make its Joyce debut with three performances February 8 - 9. This Joyce Theater Foundation presentation of the 13-year old Brooklyn-based company marks the New York premiere of Grass and Jackals by founders Lee Sher and Saar Harari. Pam Tanowitz Dance makes its long awaited Joyce Theater debut from February 4 - 6. Presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, this engagement will include a program of two new works by Tanowitz, a choreographer known for creating work that juxtaposes ballet with classic modern dance. The pieces, both world premieres, will feature live accompaniment.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will present the New York premiere of Ballet Preljocaj's widely praised production of Snow White, with choreography by Angelin Preljocaj at the David H. Koch Theater. This international eventwill only be in New York City for six performances, from April 23 - 27, 2014. Preljocaj's Snow White marks the third Joyce Theater presentation in as many years at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater, following the acclaimed 2012 engagement of Sylvie Guillem in 6000 miles away and last year's spectacular appearance by The Netherlands Dans Theater. Sumi Clements, Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director, Taryn Vander Hoop, co-founders of Summation Dance, announced the dates of their third annual Dancing Literate Festival, November 21-23, 2013, featuring performances by emerging companies and choreographers. The successful annual program aims to bridge the gap between the artist and the viewer by offering educational opportunities on the choreographic process and by providing an interactive experience in which the audience is encouraged to engage with dance making firsthand.

Northrop at the University of Minnesota presents Hubbard Dance Street Chicago tonight, Sep 21 at 8:00 pm at the State Theatre as the opening performance in the 2013-14 Northrop dance season.

Wendy Whelan, whom The New York Times has called 'America's greatest contemporary ballerina,' has danced with New York City Ballet for 29 years. With the company, she has mastered Balanchine's neo-classical repertory, dance classics such as Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake and created works with many of today's leading choreographers. Having reached the height of her field, Whelan, now 46, is embarking on a groundbreaking journey at an age when most ballerinas simply retire from the stage. She has launched Wendy Whelan New Works Initiative, which begins with Restless Creature, a suite of four duets, each with its own distinct style and artistry, created by and danced with Kyle Abraham, Joshua Beamish, Brian Brooks and Alejandro Cerrudo. The work will tour to nine cities this spring including New York, London and Boston from March 18-July 26.

Dynamic contemporary dance company BODYTRAFFIC makes its Jacob's Pillow debut July 31- August 4 in the Doris Duke Theatre. Named among Dance Magazine's “25 to Watch” in 2013, the company's Pillow program consists of And at midnight the green bride floated through the village square…(2012) created by Israeli-American dancemaker Barak Marshall, Fragile Dwellings (2011) by Belgian-born choreographer Stijn Celis, and O2Joy (2012) by founder and artistic director of The Bakery, Richard Siegal.

Pacific Northwest Ballet opens its Box Office for 2013-2014 ticket sales on Monday, July 22. As is its tradition, PNB is offering aspecial money-saving deal to celebrate the company's 41st season: Pay no service fees on tickets purchased thru July 31. Internationally acclaimed tap dance virtuoso Savion Glover will be returning to New York City's Joyce Theater for a limited run of his new show, Savion Glover's STePz. Mr. Glover and his dance ensemble will deliver 21 performances only, between June 18 and July 6. Opening night is set for Wednesday, June 19.
