CNN executives have confirmed that the Divine Miss M. herself, Bette Midler, will join Joy Behar in the launch of Behar's new talkshow, HLN's 'The Joy Behar Show,' premiering tomorrow, September 29 at 9pm EST. Midler no doubt signifies cache for talk show hosts: she was Johnny Carson's last guest on The Tonight Show.

The Friars Club Comedy Film Festival will open its inaugural year on Thursday, September 24th with the U.S. premiere of 'A Serious Man' - the new film from Academy Award-winning writer/directors Joel & Ethan Coen.
