Bay Street Theatre, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre located in the Hamptons on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, recently announced its 2008 Target Mainstage Season. Charles Busch and Julie Halston will star in the revival of Shanghai Moon, by Charles Busch, June 3 - June 29. Tickets on sale now at www.baystreet.org.  

The 2008 Target Mainstage Season will run June 3 - August 31. Shanghai Moon (June 3 - June 29), by Charles Busch, will be directed by Carl Andress. Charles Busch will be coming to Bay Street Theatre after completing his smash hit run Off Broadway in Die Mommie Die, which he also wrote. Charles Busch (Psycho Beach Party, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Tales of the Allergist's Wife) and Julie Halston (Bitsy Von Muffling on Sex and the City, The Class, A Very Serious Person) were a big hit at Bay Street Theatre last summer in Charles Busch's comedy The Lady In Question. Celebrities that came to see that production included Julie Andrews, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick, Rene Zellweger, Paul McCartney, Alan Alda and Joy Behar. Also returning to Bay Street in Shanghai Moon from The Lady In Question, will be CAndy Buckley (After The Fall, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret) and Matt McGrath (The Black Rider, Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Broken Hearts Club), whose comic timing and acting talents are impeccable. Daniel Gerroll (Sex in the City, Enchanted April, High Society) is also cast in Shanghai Moon. He was in the cast of the 2003 revival. 

The second production is the revival of Noel Coward's witty and wonderful Private Lives (July 8  - July 27), directed by Tony Award winner Jack Hofsiss, and features Alec Baldwin (30 Rock, Will and Grace, Entertaining Mr. Sloane)  and Kate Burton (Grey's Anatomy, Hedda Gabler, The Constant Wife) in the cast. The cast also includes Kellie Overbey (The Coast of Utopia, Twentieth Century, QED) and Victor Slezak (The Graduate, Jackie, Garden District). 

The Final production of the 2008 Target Mainstage Season is the Broadway musical favorite Ain't Misbehavin' (August 5 - August 31). The show celebrates the music of Fats Waller, and is based on the idea by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. The production will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge who most recently directed and choreographed the world premiere of Julie Andrew's Simeon's Gift at Bay Street Theatre
