Critically acclaimed indie musician, singer, songwriter and producer Jim Bianco announces the release of his third LP Loudmouth on April 5. Funded entirely from his fiercly loyal fan base, Loudmouth is a return to form as Jim Bianco goes at it again: speaking to the sinner and the heartbroken in all of us, sifting through the filth and wreckage in his crooked heart and putting it to music in a way that makes women want to simultaneously sleep with him and slap him in the face; and men want to pick a fight and sing along.
Long considered a 'songwriter's songwriter,' John Prine is a rare talent who writes the songs other songwriters would sell their souls for. With one of the most influential and unmistakable songwriting voices of today, Prine continues to cast his perceptive eye upon the subtle complexities of the human condition, delivering his observations in his uniquely concise, illuminating compositions.
Some four decades since his remarkable debut, John Prine is ready to release In Person & On Stage, a new live album proving he's still at the top of his game, both as a performer and songwriter. Recently honored at the Library of Congress by US Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, he's been elevated from the annals of songwriters into the realm of bonafide American treasures.
Neil Nathan, a former high school history teacher, may no longer work at New York's Martin Luther King, Jr. High, but he's still always looking for opportunities to inspire and educate. The upcoming Election Day is just one of those opportunities. 'So Much More' was written for 'the angels of American democracy' and is all about the power of individual citizens to bring about positive political change. The video is filled with inspiring images that make any viewer want to rock the vote. 'So Much More' can be found on his debut LP, The Distance Calls.
Just in time for Halloween and The Day of the Dead, Neil Nathan debuts the video for 'Darling Friend,' his lap steel infused re-interpretation of Ludwig Von Beethoven's 'Fur Elise.' In it, Nathan, bedecked in a Beethoven meets T Rex composer jacket serenades the coffin of his lost love while surrounded by a twirling, ghoulish dance troupe. 'Darling Friend' is directed by Vaj Potenza (My Brightest Diamond's 'Freak Out Gold Chains Remix') and choreographed by Suzanne Rydz. Vaj also co- directed two of Nathan's latest videos, 'California Run' and 'When The Rain Falls.' The song is the second single off Neil's covers EP, Songsmiths, which was produced by long time steel collaborator Mike 'Slo-Mo' Brenner (Slo-Mo, Marah, Jason Molina).
