WFUV and The Alternate Side Catch SXSW Fever Beginning 3/17
WFUV (90.7 FM, wfuv.org) and The Alternate Side (90.7 FM HD 3, thealternateside.org) are teaming up with NPR Music and heading to Austin, Texas to bring New Yorkers at least a dozen concerts from this year's South By Southwest Music Conference and Festival. A delegation of six WFUV and TAS staffers will be in Austin for three days to see as many shows as possible and, for the first time ever, host a WFUV showcase on Thursday, March 17th at Austin Convention Hall. The SXSW mania kicks off when The Alternate Sides' Russ Borris and Alisa Ali join WFUV Music Director Rita Houston on The Whole Wide World on Friday, March 11th at 7:00 PM for a preview of all the upcoming festival happenings. Live coverage, including regular Facebook and Twitter updates, from Austin begins on Thursday, March 17th. See complete schedule below.
