THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON officially opened on Broadway Sunday, March 6, starring Brian Cox, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Noth,Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland. CBS's drama 'The Good Wife' often features court cases based in part on real-life issues; on Tuesday, March 1st, the show takes on social networking with a man suing a social networking site for failing to protect his privacy, TV Guide reports. The man will be played by 'Lost' veteran Ken Leung, and the CEO of the website will be played by John Benjamin Hickey, who most recently appeared on Broadway in 2009's Mary Stuart.

The New Group held a celebration last night for its world premiere production of the new play Blood From A Stone byTommy Nohilly. Directed by Scott Elliott, Blood From A Stone features Gordon Clapp, Ann Dowd, Thomas Guiry, Ethan Hawke, Natasha Lyonne and Daphne Rubin-Vega. Previews began Monday, December 13. Originally slated to open Thursday, January 6, the production will have its Official Opening Night on Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00 PM. A limited engagement runs through February 5 at The New Group @ Theatre Row.

According to EW.com, F. Murray Abraham and Rita Wilson are both set for guest starring roles on CBS' THE GOOD WIFE. Both will star as lawyers in an episode in February.

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, the only televised awards show honoring performers in film and television, announced nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, December 16.

AracaWorks has announced preliminary casting for its five-day, five-play series celebrating new plays which will be presented December 6-10 at 7pm at The Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Adding to a story in today's New York Post, columnist Michael Riedel is now reporting that Alec Baldwin has passed on starring in a revival of the Garson Kanin play, Born Yesterday and is still said to be looking for a new play.

Michael Riedel reports this morning that stage and screen vet, Alec Baldwin, is undergoing a career 'rebirth' and is in search of a meatly Broadway show a means. He may have found one in a revival of Garson Kanin's Born Yesterday. According to the report, Baldwin led a reading on Monday of the piece alongside Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur). In the reading, Baldwin played Harry Brock, a weathly business man who bribes congressmen, while Arianda portrayed his blonde, airheaded lover, Billie Dawn. Josh Charles (The Good Wife) also partook in the reading. Doug Hughes (Doubt, The Royal Family, Oleanna) directed.

According to a report by TVGuide.com, Mamie Gummer will be returning to 'The Good Wife' as Nancy in the upcoming season. Gummer, who will soon be starring in Shonda Rhimes' latest creation on ABC, 'Off the Map', is currenty engaged to BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON star Ben Walker. her past Broadway credits include: the 2008 revival of Les Liaisons Dangereuses and The 24 Hour Plays.

Actor Michael Ealy is to join 'The Good Wife,' Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports. Ealy will play Derrick Bond, head of a law firm that merges with the firm where lead character Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) works.
