HBO Documentary Films has acquired worldwide TV and streaming rights to Participant Media and Emerson Collective's documentary feature film FOSTER. Producer Deborah Oppenheimer and writer-director Mark Jonathan Harris (HBO's Oscar®-winning “Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport”) reunite to upend some of the most enduring myths about foster care, going beyond the sensational headlines and stereotypes. The Sabine Films production, which recently had its world premiere at AFI DOCS Film Festival in Washington, D.C., will debut on HBO in 2019.

Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood is the deliciously scandalous story of ScottyBowers, a handsome ex-Marine who landed in Hollywood after World War II and became confidante, aide de camp and lover to many of Hollywood's greatest male — and female — stars. In the 1940s and '50s, Scotty ran a gas station in the shadow of the studio lots where he would connect his friends with actors and actresses who had to hide their true sexual identities for fear of police raids at gay bars, societal shunning and career suicide. An unsung Hollywood legend, Bowers would cater to the sexual appetites of celebrities – straight and gay – for decades.

HBO is acquiring all domestic television rights, including streaming on the HBO service, to THE OSLO DIARIES, it was announced today at the Sundance Film Festival by HBO Documentary Films. Directed by Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, the feature documentary was produced by Hilla Medalia and Ina Fichman, and executive produced by Guy Lavie, Koby Gal-Raday, Danna Stern, Dagmar Mielke, Barbara Dobkin and Jean Tsien. THE OSLO DIARIES made its world premiere in the World Cinema Documentary Competition at the festival this week.

ALL THINGS MUST PASS, the engrossing documentary from director Colin Hanks and his producing partner Sean Stuart of Company Name, have solidified a North American distribution deal with Nolan Gallagher, Founder and CEO of Gravitas Ventures. ALL THINGS MUST PASS had its world premiere at the 2015 SXSW Festival this past March. The theatrical release for the film is planned for September 2015.
