Alec Baldwin to Star in EQUUS at Guild Hall this Summer

According to the New York Times, following his stint as Oscar co-host this Sunday, Alec Baldwin will be heading back to the east coast to star as the psychiatrist Martin Dysart in Peter Shaffer's Equus this summer at Guild Hall in East Hampton, N.Y. The production will run from June 8 - July 13 at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall.

Now that Alec Baldwin has conquered the big and small screens, it seems he has his eye on the Great White Way and that coveted Tony Award. Baldwin recently told Elle Magazine: 'I'd love to win a Tony Award. A Tony Award I really crave. That would have great meaning.'

Photo Flash: Westport Country Playhouse Presents The Comedy HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES 7/28-8/15

Westport Country Playhouse will reunite six audience favorites---playwright Alan Ayckbourn, director John Tillinger, and cast members Paxton Whitehead, Cecilia Hart, Geneva Carr and Carson Elrod---in the classic comedy, 'How the Other Half Loves,' playing July 28 through August 15. Over the past two seasons, the popular team brought to the Playhouse the smash hit comedies 'Time of My Life' and 'Relatively Speaking.' Darren Pettie and Karen Walsh will round out the cast of 'How the Other Half Loves.'

Curtin, Gleason and Others Present 'Classical' Readings

Westport Country Playhouse (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, and Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) will launch 'The Classical Series,' bringing together professional actors to read works by master playwrights. The series premiere will feature Emmy Award winner Jane Curtin, Tony Award winner Joanna Gleason, Obie Award winner Kristine Nielsen and stage, film and television actor Chris Sarandon.

Westport Playhouse Stages 'Time of My Life'

Westport Country Playhouse (Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe, artistic directors, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter, managing director) will stage the delicious comedy Time of My Life by Alan Ayckbourn, reuniting author, director and cast members from one of last season's biggest hits, Relatively Speaking.
