SPINDLE SHUTTLE NEEDLE, BODIES THEY RITUAL and More Announced for Clubbed Thumb's SUMMERWORKS Festival

Clubbed Thumb has announced the complete line-up for the 25th annual SUMMERWORKS, its festival of new plays. SUMMERWORKS will run May 15 - July 1, 2020 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street) in Manhattan and will feature productions of three new plays: SPINDLE SHUTTLE NEEDLE by Gab Reisman and directed by Tamilla Woodard; BODIES THEY RITUAL by Angela Hanks and directed by Knud Adams; and THE WOMAN'S PARTY by Rinne Groff and directed by Tara Ahmadinijad.

Forward Theater Company Presents THE AMATEURS

Forward Theater Company will finish their 11th season with the regional premiere (and third-ever production) of The Amateurs by Jordan Harrison. This inventive and hilarious play will be presented in the Playhouse at Overture Center, March 19 a?' April 5, 2020.

THE AMATEURS Comes to Olney Theatre Center

The Amateurs by Jordan Harrison and directed by Jason King Jones runs in Olney Theatre Center's Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab, March 4 - April 5, 2020. The production is the fifth show in Olney Theatre's 2019-2020 season and the final show to perform in the Theatre Lab before it closes for renovations, scheduled to re-open in November 2020. OTC regulars Evan Casey (On the Town), James Konicek (Dial 'M' For Murder), Michael Russotto (Singin' in the Rain), Emily Townley (Ken Ludwig's A Comedy of Tenors) and Rachel Zampelli (The Crucible) are joined by Shakespeare Theatre Company veteran John Keabler (Hotspur in Henry IV, part I). Opening night is Saturday, March 7 at 7:45pm.

MARJORIE PRIME to Make Toronto Premiere at Coal Mine Theatre

At once conceptually and deeply moving, with a profound exploration of what makes us human, COAL MINE THEATRE is proud to announce its upcoming presentation of Jordan Harrison's Pulitzer Prize-nominated MARJORIE PRIME, directed by Stewart Arnott. The play, making its long-awaited Toronto Premiere, features a remarkable performance by legendary stage actor Martha Henry, alongside Beau Dixon, Sarah Dodd, and Gordon Hecht. Presented at COAL MINE THEATRE, January 26 - February 23, 2020 (Opening night January 29).

Kai and a time-traveling talisman together create a theatrical tour-de-force in an impressionistic, free-associating series of narrative vignettes written by Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright, Jordan Harrison (Marjorie Prime, Maple, and Vine).

Alternative Programming Announced At Omaha Community Playhouse

The OCP has announced the titles and events for their 2019/20 Alternative Programming Series, which will run from August 2019 through May 2020. Alternative Programming events are free and open to the public with an opportunity for donations. No tickets or reservations are necessary. Alternative Programming events are intended for mature audiences.
