BWW Review: ZOMBIE PROM A MUSICAL at Unexpected Stage Company

Never heard of ZOMBIE PROM until today? Me neither! Unexpected Stage Company did some digging, found a gem and dusted it off just in time for the 2016 Halloween season. Set in the hallways and classrooms of Enrico Fermi High in the nuclear fifties, ZOMBIE PROM is an old-fashioned love story with a zombie twist.

Unexpected Stage Company Announces Casting For ZOMBIE PROM, 10/6-10/30

What's a high school prom without the undead? As part of its seventh season, Unexpected Stage Company presents the campy, rollicking musical Zombie Prom, celebrating 20 years since its off-Broadway debut. The production will run October 6 through 30, 2016, at Randolph Road Theater, 4010 Randolph Road, Wheaton, MD (the former Round House space).

BWW Review: SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Wedding Bell Blues

SpeakEasy Stage Company is presenting the New England premiere of a new comedy by Joshua Harmon (BAD JEWS) prior to its scheduled Broadway run in February, 2017. Under the insightful direction of Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault, SIGNIFICANT OTHER offers a cornucopia of talented players (Greg Maraio atop the list), pointed humor, and poignant commentary on the universal human condition.

SpeakEasy Stage to Present SIGNIFICANT OTHER This Fall

From September 9 to October 8, 2016, SpeakEasy Stage Company will proudly present SIGNIFICANT OTHER, a sharply observed new comedy about the challenges of finding love and letting go, written by Bad Jews playwright Joshua Harmon.

BWW Review: MR. BURNS...Static Electricity

MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY defends the thesis that storytelling and making theater may be of great value in times of crisis, but goes awry with its repetitious retelling of an episode of THE SIMPSONS. Director A. Nora Long, a creative design team, and strong acting performances are not enough to put a charge in playwright Anne Washburn's work.
