Cliff Saunders, who currently stars as Thenardier in the revival of Les Miserables on Broadway, hosts the evening that celebrates the launch of the newly formed Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective (CMTWC).

Based on the haunting true story of an American explorer and entrepreneur, this riveting musical is composed by Adam Guettel, who also wrote PSP's 2011 award-winning hit, The Light in the Piazza. Directed by PSP Co-Artistic Producer Peter Jorgensen, Floyd Collins features a star-studded cast including Arctic Air's Kevin McNulty and Republic of Doyle's Krystin Pellerin, led by the dynamic Bermuda-born Daren A. A 'sonnet to Canadian culture', Making Love in a Canoe features the work of 15 Canadian writers including Nancy White, Leslie Arden, and Jonathan Monro. With four never-before-recorded songs, the album promises to introduce even the most avid theatre-goer to the riches Canadian musicals have to offer.
Tarragon Theatre launches its 2013-14 season with the Toronto premiere of The Best Brothers, written by award-winning playwright-in-residence Daniel MacIvor. MacIvor along with John Beale recreate the roles they originated in last season's hit Stratford Festival production of this heart-warming and hilarious two-hander. This bittersweet comedy previews opens tonight, September 25 and runs to October 27, 2013 in Tarragon's Mainspace.
