I Need Some Space: The Lyrics of Robby Sandler, returning to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Monday, May 19th at 7 pm, after a sold out debut this past July, features the talents of Mariand Torres (The Great Comet, Wicked), Ken Clark (The Great Comet, February House), Andrew Keltz (The Golden Land), Lizzie Hagstedt (Southern Comfort, Sweeney Todd), Shoshanna Richman (I Heart NY, Fiddler), and Ariana Shore (The Performers). The hour long evening of music by the BMI lyricist is produced by Rudy Scala and features a number of composer collaborators including Daniel Green, Lizzie Hagstedt, Jonathan Monro, and Andy Roninson. Final casting has been announced for BLAME CANADA!, an evening featuring the best in Canadian musical theatre happening at 54 BELOW on Monday, March 17 at 9:30pm. Cliff Saunders, who currently stars as Thenardier in the revival of Les Miserables on Broadway, hosts the evening that celebrates the launch of the newly formed Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective (CMTWC).

Patrick Street Productions (PSP) and Talk is Free Theatre present the Vancouver premiere of the bold and brilliant Floyd Collins at the newly opened York Theatre on Commercial Drive, today, March 11-30, 2014. Based on the haunting true story of an American explorer and entrepreneur, this riveting musical is composed by Adam Guettel, who also wrote PSP's 2011 award-winning hit, The Light in the Piazza. Directed by PSP Co-Artistic Producer Peter Jorgensen, Floyd Collins features a star-studded cast including Arctic Air's Kevin McNulty and Republic of Doyle's Krystin Pellerin, led by the dynamic Bermuda-born Daren A. Herbert in the title role.

On a frigidly cold night in the middle of a long Canadian winter, a group of people gathered together in a cozy cafe to experience what is quickly becoming Canada's newest national treasure. The problem is, we often don't boast our talents because of the aforementioned polite, humble qualities. Kyle Golemba and Adam White are seeking to boast about our awesome musical theatre talent on Monday night at the CD release party for MAKING LOVE IN A CANOE - an album featuring 15 different all-Canadian songs from our best and brightest. Both of them sat down and spoke with BWW about Canadian traditions, Canadian talent, Timbits and beer!

Kyle Golemba and Adam White have reason to celebrate: the debut of the recording of their all-Canadian musical theatre revue, Making Love in a Canoe. A 'sonnet to Canadian culture', Making Love in a Canoe features the work of 15 Canadian writers including Nancy White, Leslie Arden, and Jonathan Monro. With four never-before-recorded songs, the album promises to introduce even the most avid theatre-goer to the riches Canadian musicals have to offer.

Tarragon Theatre launches its 2013-14 season with the Toronto premiere of The Best Brothers, written by award-winning playwright-in-residence Daniel MacIvor. MacIvor along with John Beale recreate the roles they originated in last season's hit Stratford Festival production of this heart-warming and hilarious two-hander. This bittersweet comedy previews opens tonight, September 25 and runs to October 27, 2013 in Tarragon's Mainspace.

New musicals hub New York Theatre Barn will present the first New York City presentation of musical excerpts from Drama Desk Award winning book writer Adam Mathias (See Rock City) and multi-award winning composer Jonathan Monro (Variations on a Nervous Breakdown) new musical A History Of Summer on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre in New York City as part of New York Theatre Barn's revolutionary new musical development platform NYTB in the D-Lounge, executive produced by Laura Brandeland Jason Najjoum.
