It's official! As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this year, Disney's Aladdin, the hit Broadway musical, will welcome Broadway vet Telly Leung as the title character beginning Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), closed its 75th anniversary season with Victor Herbert's Babes in Toyland last night, April 27, 2017 at 7pm at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. BroadwayWorld has photos from the starry concert below!

Will Smith is currently in discussions to take on the iconic role of Genie in Disney's upcoming live-action ALADDIN. The role was made famous by late comedian Robin Williams in the studio's 1992 animated film.

MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), closes its 75th anniversary season with Victor Herbert's Babes in Toyland on April 27, 2017 at 7pm at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall (57th Street and 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10019). The production will be conducted and directed by MasterVoices' Artistic Director Ted Sperling and will feature Kelli O'Hara (Contrary Mary), Bill Irwin (Master Toymaker), Christopher Fitzgerald (Alan), Lauren Worsham (Jane), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Tom Tom), Jonathan Freeman (Uncle Barnaby), Chris Sullivan (Gonzorgo), Jeffrey Schecter (Roderigo), Michael Kostroff (Chief Inspector Marmaduke), and Blair Brown (The Narrator), with the 130 singers of MasterVoices and Orchestra of St. Luke's. Musical Staging by Andrew Palermo, Costume Consulting by Tracy Christensen, and Concert Adaptation by Joe Keenan and Ted Sperling.

Disney's Aladdin, the hit Broadway musical, celebrates its 3rd anniversary on Broadway today, March 20th, 2017, at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

The production will be conducted by MasterVoices' Artistic Director Ted Sperling and will feature previously announced stars Kelli O'Hara, Bill Irwin, Lauren Worsham, Christopher Fitzgerald - with Jonathan Freeman, Chris Sullivan, and Jeffrey Schecter just joining the lineup - alongside 130 singers of MasterVoices, with Orchestra of St. Luke's.

The project marks the latest in a string of upcoming live-action reboots of Disney classics, including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, in theaters March 17th, MARY POPPINS RETURNS, out Christmas Day, 2018, MULAN and THE LION KING.

To honor the 25th anniversary of Disney's 1992 ALADDIN, the Tribeca Film Festival has announced that Brad Kane, the singing voice behind the title character, will host a sing-along prior to the screening of the animated musical classic.

The Aram Khachaturian International Competition announces its first-ever vocal competition will take place in Yerevan, Armenia from June 4-16, 2017. Under the patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Armenia Rita Sargsyan, the competition is open to young singers between the ages of 18-35 years of age (all voice types, except countertenor), regardless of citizenship or nationality.

The house at Disney's Aladdin on Broadway had their wish granted when Whoopi Goldberg made a surprise one-night-only appearance last night, January 19th. Goldberg's appearance was taped for a segment for ABCs 'The View' this Thursday January 26th that will also include the show-stopping number 'Friend Like Me,' filmed at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre.
