English musical theatre is alive and well in Montreal and it's surrounding areas. The Hudson Music Club (HMC), in it's 60th anniversary year, presents 42ND STREET. HMC is a non-profit, volunteer based organization dedicated to bringing quality musical entertainment to Hudson and the surrounding Montreal area. This club is one of the few community theatre groups in the entire Montreal area that is devoted 100% to English language Broadway musical theatre.

John C. Breckenridge, President and CEO of Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), announced today the nominations and presenters for TUTS' tenth annual Tommy Tune Awards which will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Developed by TUTS, the Tommy Tune Awards honor musical theatre excellence at the high school level.

PBS will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the deadliest peacetime maritime disaster in history, with three new programs scheduled for April 2012: SAVING THE TITANIC, premiering on Sunday, April 1; THE TITANIC WITH LEN GOODMAN, premiering on Tuesday, April 10; and NOVA 'Why Ships Sink,' premiering on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, which investigates the safety of cruise ships and questions whether passengers are safe at sea a century later.

Collaboraction's widely celebrated SKETCHBOOK FESTIVAL returns for its 11th year to the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St., June 2 - 25. One of the most innovative and communal theater, music and video festivals in the country, this year's festival, titled 'SKETCHBOOK: Evolution,' features nine short plays and seven devised works, all eight minutes or less, inspired by the theme of ‘Evolution.'
