Cornelia Street Cafe Announces Performances Through 6/7

In May 1977 three artists--Robin Hirsch, a writer and director; Charles McKenna, an actor; and Raphaela Pivetta, a visual artist--stumbled across a tiny storefront on Cornelia Street in the heart of Greenwich Village and thought it the perfect place to open a café.

Cornelia Street Cafe has Announced its upcoming music performances for April. They include Tony Malaby Quaretet, Robin Werheyen Quartet, Amram & CO, Landon Knoblock Trio and Jeff Davis Band, among others.

Since its inception, Coney Island has played host to a magnificent array of theatre, performance, poetry, dance, and literature. A naked Walt Whitman read Shakespeare to the Atlantic Ocean; Cary Grant was a stilt walker at Steeplechase Park; Woody Guthrie strummed his guitar on Mermaid Avenue; Bread and Puppet Theatre was in residence in the 1970's and Coney Island USA has been a theatrical presence and Coney Island fixture for nearly thirty years.

Adamanto Production and The Lillian Theater with Electric Pear Productions / Melanie Sylvan, Liebman Entertainment and Veronique Ory, Alex Zoppa, Cheryl Bianchi present the West Coast Premiere of STITCHING by award-winning and Scottish playwright Anthony Neilson (Royal Court Theatre's Relocated and Best Fringe Play 1997, The Censor).

Due to extraordinary popular demand, the U.S. premiere of Stitching by Anthony Neilson, directed by Timothy Haskell and starring Meital Dohan (Showtime's 'Weeds') and John Ventimiglia (HBO's 'The Sopranos') has extended its run for a second time, now through Saturday, August 9 at The Wild Project.

Due to extraordinary popular demand, the U.S. premiere of Stitching by Anthony Neilson, directed by Timothy Haskell and starring Meital Dohan (Showtime's 'Weeds') and John Ventimiglia (HBO's 'The Sopranos') has extended its run for a second time, now through Saturday, August 9 at The Wild Project.
