Christine Moynihan has spent the last 35 years as a celebrated arts administrator - 15 years as the Executive Producer at Equity Showcase Theatre, 10 years as the Executive Director at the Dance Umbrella of Ontario and 10 years as an independent arts administrator - winning both the Brenda Donohue Award (1994) for outstanding contribution to the Toronto theatre community and a Harold Award (2000) for outstanding service to Toronto's independent theatre and dance communities.

In UK UNDERDOG, Steve Spiro tells his autobiographical story as a young Jewish boy in London who transforms himself, through sheer force of will (and plenty of chutzpah) from a bullied underdog to martial artist, boxer, community leader and animal rights activist. Along the way, he portrays not only himself from childhood to current time, but also every other person he knows including his always-in-the-kitchen mother, his taxi driver father, critical yet loving Nana who spent her days obsessed with American TV shows, his best friend Erch, town bully John Turner, the coach who helped build his confidence, and Roger, the bi-polar Drama teacher who changed the focus of his life into being a Thespian by day and a fighter at night.

Houston Grand Opera Announces CONCERT OF ARIAS 2018 Winners

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) announced today the winners of the 30th annual Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers that took place at Stude Concert Hall at Rice University. For the second time, the Concert of Arias was streamed live on Facebook, as well as on YouTube for the first time. The livestream was hosted by award-winning soprano and HGO Studio alumna Tamara Wilson. The winners were announced during the second portion of the program.

Schedule Announced for 6th Annual Made in the Berkshires Festival

The Annex Theatre transforms into Castle Elsinore as Tweed the clown and her sidekick skull Yorick take on sonnets, songs and Shakespearean insults.

Smoot, a.k.a John Turner from the infamous horror clown duo, Mump + Smoot, has found himself in a spot. The beloved clown performer and teacher lost his home on Manitoulin Island in a fire earlier this year, and the Toronto theatre, comedy and clown community are putting on a show to re-raise his roof!

United Solo Festival Presents New One Woman Comedy ONEYMOON by Christel Bartelse, 11/5

With ambiguous feelings about the institution of marriage and unwilling to commit to anything less than perfection, Caroline opts to re-invent a long standing social convention. The audience joins Caroline as her family and friends on her unusual wedding day and follow along on her beach vacation -- her honeymoon for one. Filled with zany wit, improv, dance and song, Caroline pokes holes in our notions of "wedded bliss" - but ultimately finds that even a long-term relationship with herself has its pitfalls.
