Home, SMOOT, Home - A Clown Fundraiser Set for Randolph Theatre, 5/17
Smoot, a.k.a John Turner from the infamous horror clown duo, Mump + Smoot, has found himself in a spot. The beloved clown performer and teacher lost his home on Manitoulin Island in a fire earlier this year, and the Toronto theatre, comedy and clown community are putting on a show to re-raise his roof!
HOME, SMOOT, HOME will feature an all-star roster of funny people including Rick Miller, K-AMP, Karen Hines, Chris Hilarious Gibbs, Susanna Hamnett, Foo, Derek Scott, Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus of National Theatre of the World, and will be hosted by Canada's fabulous female clown duo, and Mump + Smoot protégés, Morro and Jasp, plus other special guests, gargoyles, fire breathers, silent auction items, and clowns galore.
All these amazing artists, and a crew behind the scenes, are giving their artistry and talents for free to contribute to this worthy cause, and will also be mingling with guests at the VIP Clown Lounge After Party, a post-show salon full of surprises and more clowns than you can fit into a Volkswagen!
A one of a kind show to support one of Canada's most talented and admired performers, HOME, SMOOT, HOME will provide lots of laughter, song and clowning around to entertain and provoke . . . and to get Smoot back to his Home, Smoot, Home.
