Robin Williams Set to Relaunch 'Weapons of Self-Destruction' Tour 9/30

The New York Times is reporting that actor and comedian Robin Williams will relaunch his 'Weapons of Self-Destruction' comedy tour in Bloomington, Ind., on Sept. 30. The tour was postponed after Mr. Williams underwent a three-and-a-half-hour procedure at the Cleveland Clinic in March to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve and correct his irregular heartbeat.
TV Actor Ray Quinn Cast As 'Danny' In GREASE In UK 5/11-10/3

Singer and television star Ray Quinn will be swapping his ice skates for his dancing shoes when he joins the cast of the smash-hit musical Grease. Ray will play the lead role of ?Danny' for a limited season from 11 May to 3 October 2009 at The Piccadilly Theatre. Further casting to be announced.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company presented its 15th Annual Celebrity Doodles Auction & Gala on Monday, May 4th, 2009. Each year celebrities donate their artwork, or doodles, that are auctioned off in this annual fundraiser, at which The Barrow Group also honors individuals for their service to the arts and TBG. This year's honorees include Tony Award Winners Nathan Lane and Judith Ivey and arts advocate Jeff Dine.
Hugh Jackman To Star In New "Ghostopolis" Film

Hugh Jackman, Tony Award-winner and star of the the new blockbuster film 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine,' will star in the new film 'Ghostopolis,' The Hollywood Reporter has announced.
The film is an adaptation of an upcoming graphic novel by Doug TenNapel. In addition to starring in the picture, Jackman will produce the film with his company, Seed Prods.

After a 48 year absence, Bye Bye Birdie will return to Broadway this fall presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in a production starring John Stamos (Albert Peterson), Gina Gershon (Rose Alvarez), Bill Irwin (Mr. Harry MacAfee) and Jayne Houdyshell (Mrs. Mae Peterson). Directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom, Bye Bye Birdie has a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse.
