Efron's '17 AGAIN' Wins Weekend B.O.

Zac Efron, the 21-year-old star of the 'High School Musical' mega-hit series of films broke out and 'graduated' with a winning opening for his new film comedy '17 Again.' The comic high school time-swap feature, which costars Matthew Perry, earned $24.1 million, according to the studio estimates from box office tracking service Nielsen EDI.

Zac Efron, the star of Hairspray and the High School Musical trilogy hosts tonights episode of Saturday Night Live. This will be Efron's first time hosting the series. 'Saturday Night Live,' the musical guest will be the 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs'. Efron's episode airs tonight, April 11th at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

While in New Brunswick, NJ the National Tour of Hairspray received a surprise visit from Nikki Blonsky. Blonsky, star of the 2007 film version of Hairspray, attended the Saturday matinee performance. 'I loved the show, it was amazing!' Nikki Blonsky said.

The smash-hit musical Grease is now booking until January 2010 and has a new cast including singer and television star Ray Quinn from ITV's Dancing on Ice. Ray will be swapping his ice skates for his dancing shoes when he joins the cast for a limited season from 11 May to 3 October 2009 at The Piccadilly Theatre.

After a 48 year absence, Bye Bye Birdie will return to Broadway this fall presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in a production starring John Stamos (Albert Peterson), Gina Gershon (Rose Alvarez), Bill Irwin (Mr. Harry MacAfee) and Jayne Houdyshell (Mrs. Mae Peterson).
