Piedmont Players Theatre in Salisbury, NC announces open auditions for it's next Mainstage Production, Hairspray.

First reported by BroadwayWorld.com back in December, the Hollywood Bowl has now officially confirmed that they have chosen their summer musical... Drum roll please... HAIRSPRAY! The Hollywood Bowl has been knocking these musicals out of the ballpark these last three years with LES MISERABLES, GUYS & DOLLS and RENT.

John Travolta has reportedly turned down an offer for a cameo appearance on Glee. Travolta tells Entertainment Tonight that he will not appear on the show because producers wouldn't give him enough time to rehearse for a 'knock 'em dead' song-and-dance number.
