FCS musicians will recreate Queen's iconic album 'A Night At The Opera' in its entirety, featuring a house band and rotating cast of singers performing classics such as 'You're My Best Friend' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' at this one-night-only concert at The Acoustic on Saturday, February 9 at 8:00 PM.

In the midst of DC's December winter holidays, Theater J brings to us … a valentine. "This story will unfold as a waltz, a valentine" we are told in the opening monologue - and in the gifted hands of director Aaron Posner, Talley's Folly delivers the beauty and rhythm of a waltz, and the big beating heart of a valentine. Actors John Taylor Phillips and Erin Weaver are well paired, their emotions ebb and flow like the current of the folly's nearby river.

For the third show of its season Around Town, Theater J brings Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning romantic comedy Talley's Folly to GALA Hispanic Theatre December 7 - 30. A funny and heartwarming theatrical duet, Talley's Folly, is set on a moonlit night in 1944 Missouri, where Matt Friedman, a middle-aged Jewish accountant, has only one chance to win the heart of Sally Talley, a 31 year-old 'old maid' from a bigoted Protestant family. After a lifetime of believing they'll never truly belong in the world around them, they reawaken one another to love, ultimately finding that they do belong - together.

Name it. It's in there. UNM's Department of Theatre and Dance production of Shakespeare's As You Like It runs November 9 through 19, 2018 in Rodey Theatre on UNM's Main Campus.

Reporter Camille Preaker returns to her small hometown to cover the murder of one preteen girl and the abduction of another. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.

The iconic British rock band Duran Duran are set to take over BBC Four on Friday 29 June from 9pm. With exclusive access to the band, the night of programming features two newly-filmed documentaries which showcase incredible insights, previously unseen archive footage and rare demo tapes, as well as the group's thoughts and inspirations across the decades since they first formed in 1978 in Birmingham.

After last season's much-buzzed-about Butterfly and Carmen, HEARTBEAT OPERA-the daring young company whose unconventional orchestrations and stagings of classic operas have been called 'a radical endeavor' by Alex Ross in The New Yorker-returns to Baruch Performing Arts Center with its fourth annual Spring Festival May 2-13, 2018. Heartbeat will premiere adaptations of two operatic masterpieces, both radically staged, trimmed down and re-orchestrated: Mozart's DON GIOVANNI and Beethoven's FIDELIO. 

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founder and Artistic Director) is pleased to present the world premiere of SPEED QUEEN, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize-nominee Phoebe Legere, and directed by Lissa Moira at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). The production will preview on March 7, 2018 with press opening on March 9, and performances on March 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24. All performances are at 7:30 PM.
