Gettin' The Band Back Together, the upcoming new Broadway musical comedy, will have two invitation only developmental lab presentations later this week in NYC. With direction by Tony Award winner John Rando and choreography by Chris Bailey, Gettin' The Band Back Together heads to Broadway in July.

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks) has announced the eleven exceptional stage directors who have been selected as the 2018 Directing Fellows of The Drama League Directors Project: Jake Beckhard, Jennifer Chang, Tara Elliott, Kyle Haden, Myeongsik Jason Jang, Kemar Jewel, Seonjae Kim, Margaret Lee, Dennis Yueh-Yeh Li, Ivey Lowe, and Christopher Nuñez. They will be publicly introduced to the professional theatre community during the 84th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Sharone Sayegh and Raymond J. Lee in "Project Broadway: The Unconventional Materials Challenge" on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 9:30pm. Sharone and Ray met dancing in wet suits and spandex sparkles in the Broadway production of Mamma Mia! and are excited to team up for their first duo show at Feinstein's/54 Below. Taking a cue from "Project Runway," Sharone and Ray will present an evening of Unconventional Materials as they tackle nontraditional casting roles and partner up on a few exciting pop selections, with musical direction by Steven Jamail.

Two powerful New York institutions, Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn and the renowned theater company The New Group, have announced a new partnership to help train the next generation of great actors. A new B.F.A program in Acting for Theatre, Film and Television, starting in Fall 2018, will be founded on the studio model, where students will study stage acting, voice, and movement under the supervision and guidance of faculty in collaboration with the award-winning The New Group.

This wonderfully staged production has a great plot, a fabulous variety of musical numbers, and features a stellar cast.

Tonight Paper Mill Playhouse kicks off the world premiere production of the new musical The Sting, based on the 1973 film, and with book by Bob Martin, music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann & Greg Kotis with Harry Connick, Jr. In addition, the score will contain music by Scott Joplin including 'The Entertainer.' John Rando is set to direct with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by Fred Lassen.
