Dancap Productions Inc. has announced the Canadian Premiere of THE TOXIC AVENGER, an eco-monster musical comedy based on the 1984 Lloyd Kaufman classic cult film. The Canadian production will take place at The Music Hall (998 seats) on Danforth Avenue, currently undergoing renovations to accommodate the show. Mamma Mia star and Tony Award nominee Louise Pitre will star in the production.

Following the August 3rd performance of The Toxic Avenger, legendary bass guitarist Tony Levin, best known for his work with progressive rock pioneers King Crimson and Peter Gabriel, as well as for his playing on hundreds of albums including Cher, Alice Cooper, John Lennon, Stevie Nicks and Lou Reed, paid a backstage visit to meet the cast and band. He posed for photos and even signed the bass guitar of Dan Grennes, the show's bass guitarist. Rock on!
A.C.T. Announces That They Have Exceeded Their 2009-10 Subscription Goal

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced that it has exceeded its 2009-10 season subscription goal of $3.165 million last week. 'We are thrilled to be able to make the first financial goal of the season well ahead of schedule,' said Janette Andrawes, A.C.T.'s Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
