Queens-based Titan Theatre Company will conclude its critically acclaimed, award-winning second season with a signature take on Shakespeare's epic masterpiece King Lear. The production will play a limited run today, April 25 - May 11, 2014 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V, will direct.

The J?st Project looks forward to returning to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the location where they launched their recording, "Can't Find My Way Home" (Dot Time Records). As part of the Art After 5 series, the Philly-based band will perform on Friday, May 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The band is made up of internationally renowned vibraphonist Tony Miceli, vocalist/harmonicist Paul Jost, bassist Kevin MacConnell and drummer Charlie Patierno. This event is free with museum admission, $20; seniors $18; youth, 13 to 18, and students with valid ID $14; children 12 and under free. Titan Theatre Company to Offer $12 Early Bird Tickets to KING LEAR with Terry Layman

Titan Theatre Company announced today that it will offer a limited block of $12 early-bird tickets to the final production in its critically acclaimed, award-winning second season, Shakespeare's epic masterpiece King Lear. The production, which stars Broadway vet Terry Layman in the title role and is made possible through a generous grant from the Queens Council for the Arts, will run April 25-May 11, 2014 at the Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue, located in beautiful Flushing Meadows Park. $12 early-bird discount tickets (regularly $18) are available to patrons now through April 7, 2014. Emmy-winning filmmaker Stephanie J. Castillo is running a 45-day global fundraising campaign at Kickstarter.com to raise $50,000 to begin shooting her feature-length documentary film, NIGHT BIRD SONG: THE THOMAS CHAPIN STORY this summer. The shoot locations will include the New York City area, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Europe. The Kickstarter campaign was launched on February 13, and will end on March 31.
