92Y's Lyrics & Lyricists series presented BABY, DREAM YOUR DREAM: Dorothy Fields AND THE WOMEN OF THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK, last night and BroadwayWorld was there.  The show was hosted by Deborah Grace Winer (Artistic Director, Writer & Host), with John Oddo (Music Director) and Mark Waldrop (Stage Director). Marilyn Maye, Kenita Miller, Nancy Opel, Margo Seibert and Emily Skinner were on vocals.

His tux fits perfectly, sleeves just the right length so you can see the cuff links. Tony Danza is a guy with a personality and musical ability that wins you over from the first note he sings.  Then he tells his stories and his jokes, which make you feel you would like to spend a week with him.  That's a Tony Danza cabaret show, or to use a more authentic word, 'night club act'.

92Y announces casting for Lyrics & Lyricists new season. Having garnered audience and critical acclaim, the country's premier American Songbook series begins 2017 with Judy Kuhn, Santino Fontana, Rebecca Luker, Christiane Noll and Lauren Worsham among the performers.

Occasionally in cabaret, one encounters a performer with 'star power.' Other times, one sees a legitimate star in a cabaret setting---say, Patti LuPone or Ben Vereen---and knows instantly why the person is a star. But in his Feinstein's/54 Below solo debut show, Tony Danza: Standards & Stories, Tony Danza reminds audiences what it means to be a star, onstage as well as off.

Beloved stage and screen star Tony Danza (TV's 'Taxi' & 'Who's The Boss'; Broadway's Honeymoon In Vegas) and his band made their first of 6 performances at Feinstein's/54 Below last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Tony Danza: Standards & Stories will play six performances only: July 26, 27, August 9, September 8 & 9 at 7pm and August 10 at 9:30pm.

James Naughton hosted, wrote & directed the current offering of the 92Y Lyrics & Lyricists presentation titled Battle of The Airwaves! When The Songbook Met Rock & Country. BroadwayWorld was there for Sunday afternoon's performance. The cast included Everett Bradley, Kevin Osborne, Solange Prat, and Vaneese Thomas. John Oddo was music director and Keira Naughton, co-stage manager. Deborah Grace Winer is the series artistic director.

An exclusive November benefit concert by beloved stage, screen and television star Christine Ebersole at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre raised nearly $150,000 for the not-for-profit theatre.

John Schneider and Tom Wopat - the original stars of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' - will release a special vinyl version of their acclaimed holiday album HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.
