Les Misérables in Concert makes its Hollywood Bowl debut in a production featuring Melora Hardin as Fantine, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, Michele Maika as Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thénardier, J. Mark McVey as Valjean, Lea Michele as Éponine, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Sage Ryan as Gavroche and John Lloyd Young as Marius. Rosie O'Donnell, who was to play the role of Madame Thenardier, has withdrawn from the performances in order to care for her eldest son, who broke his wrist. She will be replaced by veteran actress Ruth Williamson.

Wendy C. Goldberg, Artistic Director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference (NPC) and Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the National Music Theater Conference (NMTC), announced the actors cast in their 2008 projects. The actors include a mix of award-winning actors from stage and screen, seasoned O'Neill performers, and new talent.

Spring Awakening star Lea Michele will making her Hollywood debut at Upright Cabaret in Mark's Restaurant (861 N. La Cienega Blvd) on August 15th, 2008. Michele will be staying in Hollywood after the concert to perform in the Les Miserables concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The concert will be directed by Richard Jay-Alexander (who also will be directing the Les Mis concert) with musical direction by Ben Toth. According to recent reports, Rosie O'Donnell's next gig will be performing with musician and long time friend Cyndi Lauper on her upcoming 'True Colors' tour.

In just 3 weeks Cubby Bernstein, Broadway's Tony Award Campaign Manager and his web-series (cubbybernstein.com) which tracks his involvement working with Broadway's 'Xanadu' in this year's Tony competition for Best Musical, garnered over 400,000 viewers in 2 days of Thursday and Friday, June 6th and 7th).

On June 8th, 2008 Paper Mill Playhouse opened its mainstage production of Little Shop of Horrors, a musical written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. The musical is based on Roger Corman's 1960 sci-fi comedy and includes several show-stopping numbers including 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' and 'Suddenly Seymour,' as well as the title song. Little Shop of Horrors will run at the Millburn theatre from June 4 through July 6, 2008.

British actor Tom Lowe will be playing Enjolras in upcoming Les Miserables in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl. He will be replacing Aaron Lazar who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

Performers include Nellie McKay (The Threepenny Opera), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys), Sarah Steele (Speech & Debate), Susan Blackwell (Speech & Debate, [title of show]), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy), Ben Walker (Les Liaisons Dangerouses), Jenny Powers (Grease), Jessica Grové (Sunday in the Park with George), Telly Leung (Rent), Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening), Matt Schreiber with 'Nicky' (Avenue Q), and Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening) with more to come! All celebrity appearances are subject to change.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) officially opened its mainstage production of Cole Porter's masterpiece Kiss Me, Kate, returning to the Paper Mill Stage after a 40 year absence.
