To launch the season of giving, the Williamston Theatre gives back! We'll be presenting readings of six plays a?" an entire season in a day. Readings begin at 10am and run through 10pm. The public is invited to come for one play, or stay for them all. This event is FREE and open to the public, no reservations are necessary. Information will be available in our lobby on several local charities doing amazing work in our community.

The Williamston Theatre has been awarded two grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA). The first is a $22,500 Operational Support Grant and will support the general operations of the Williamston Theatre for the 2019-2020 Season, which will include six productions and many special programs.

Tipping Point Theatre's upcoming production, Funnyman by Bruce Graham, takes a serious look behind the scenes of a celebrated comic's life. It's 1959, and Chick Sherman's funnyman career is beginning its decline into irrelevancy. That all changes when an experimental playwright specifically requests his talents, teaching Chick that not everything in life has to have a punchline.

This year, the Williamston Theatre is honoring the support of its donors by presenting a full season's worth of play readings, all day long. On Tuesday, November 28 the Williamston Theatre will hold a marathon of staged readings of six plays. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are welcomed to attend all or individual readings. Gracie's Contemporary Bistro in Williamston is a sponsor of the event.
