PFLAG NYC (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays of New York City) recently announced that Broadway producer, Daryl Roth, who has mounted a record seven Pulitzer Prize-winning plays and multiple Tony Award-winning shows, and Edie Windsor, the brave and outspoken plaintiff in United States v. Windsor, which brought federal recognition of same-sex marriage will be featured honorees at tonight's 40th Anniversary PFLAG NYC Awards Dinner.
Vineyard Theatre Extends John Kander & Greg Pierce's THE LANDING Through 11/24

The Vineyard Theatre has announced its world-premiere production of the musical THE LANDING -- with book and lyrics by Greg Pierce, music by John Kander and directed by Walter Bobbie -- will extend its previously-announced engagement by two weeks, now scheduled to play through November 24 at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.). THE LANDING began preview performances October 3 with opening night set for October 23.

On October 7, Broadway legend Chita Rivera will return to the stage in a special 80th Birthday concert benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and according to a recent interview with the Huffington Post, that's not the only thing on the triple threat's plate coming up. Rivera revealed that the Kander and Ebb musical The Visit might be heading to Broadway in 2014, following a tryout in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Theater Latte Da previously announced that a season of four adventures in musical storytelling and the continuation of a major new work development program will comprise its 16th Season. Slated for production are Steerage Song at The Lab Theater (today, September 25 - October 20, 2013), All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at the Pantages Theatre (December 19-22, 2013), Cabaret at the Pantages Theatre (January 15 - February 9, 2014), and Our Town at The Lab Theater (March 12 - April 6, 2014). In spring 2014, the company will bring back NEXT: New Musicals in the Making, their program to develop new works for the musical theater canon.
